VENDe is Australia’s leading B2B site, specifically developed for gift and homewares products.
There is a comprehensive range of products from fashion to kitchenware, homewares to outdoor living, children’s items to stationery and everything in between. The secure portal enables buyers to source product when it suits them, while sellers are able to display their items for sale 24/7.
2. How can I search for products and sellers?
You can search for the products you might want to buy using the four VENDe search areas:
Product by Category– via the category headings at the top of the page
Company by Category – via the category headings towards the foot of the page
Product by Name – in the keyword ‘product’ search area at the top right side of the page
Company by Name – in the keyword ‘company’ search area at the top right side of the page
3. Can I deal direct with suppliers?
VENDe is simply a catalogue of products and suppliers from more than 100 different wholesalers. We are not a middle man and the products listed are priced by the seller. When you find a product or seller that you like, you are transferred to their individual website. You are then conducting business direct with that seller.
4. How do I request permission to trade with a seller?
Each supplier will have their own way in which they prefer to conduct business. You will need to contact them individually to determine their business terms and conditions.
If they have a “VENDe Seller” logo next to their company name, you will be able to order from them online using your VENDe login. Otherwise please speak to the specific seller to determine the options available for you to order from them.
There are a number of ways in which to request permission to trade with a seller.
1) Click “approval for wholesaler” on the top right of your preferred seller website. This will take you to a password page. Click on “wholesalers” in the left column and “Add” access according to which wholesaler you wish to deal with.
2) When attempting to view a product on a seller’s website click “get approval to see wholesale price”. This will take you to a password page. Click on “wholesalers” in the left column and “add” access according to which wholesaler you wish to deal with.
Please note you will need to wait for a seller approval confirmation email before you may make a purchase or view certain prices.
5. How much does it cost?
Browsing products on VENDe is completely FREE. It is also FREE to register for a VENDe login. This will enable you to then access all the sellers that have a website powered by VENDe and in turn will be able to use their checkout using your login details.
Product prices, freight and minimum orders are set by the individual seller. No additional costs are incurred when ordering online via VENDe.

10. I have approached to trade with a seller and haven’t been given access yet.
Site access for buyers is at the discretion of each supplier. If you have requested site access but find you are unable to view wholesale prices, the seller may still be in the process of doing background checks on your business. You can always give them a call to ask but approval can take up to a few days in some cases.
11. How do I order products?
Once you have found a product on VENDe that you wish to order click on the ‘Buy this Product’ button. This will take you through to the seller’s website. If they have a site powered by VENDe you will be able to use your VENDe login to access their shopping cart.
If you have not done so already, ensure that you have been granted permission to purchase from the seller by sending them a request. Next add the items you would like to your order by clicking ‘Add to Cart’. Check your shopping cart items at any stage by viewing your cart. Once you are finished ordering proceed to “Checkout” then follow the 5 prompted steps to complete your order.
If a seller has an independent site you will need to contact the seller and find out their individual terms of business. Please note, each seller will have different terms of payment, freight and delivery options and you will need to conform to the individuals requests in order to trade with them.
12. How do I change my order?
You may add/remove or increase/decrease product quantities before you confirm your order by accessing your shopping cart at “My Cart”. After you make changes confirm these by clicking “Update”.
13. How can I pay for products?
Each individual seller has different payment terms that are individual to them. Please ensure you read and understand the seller’s payment terms before purchasing.
14. I have placed an order and haven’t received it yet?
You will need to contact the seller direct. This can be done by looking at their contact page for their details. VENDe itself has no part to play in the ordering and delivering process.
15. How secure is the site?
VENDe is developed and owned by the Australian Gift & Homewares Association. All sites powered by VENDe are built with both privacy and security in mind [Privacy Policy]. All websites powered by VENDe are VeriSign scanned and approved, ensuring that credit card and personal details are protected. The VENDe shopping cart was developed by Commonwealth Bank according to legal requirements for secure online trading. Please note that VENDe ensures your details will only be shared with those who you choose to trade with.
16. I’m not happy with a product I have received – what do I do?
You will have to contact the seller direct to resolve the issue. VENDe plays no part in the ordering or delivery process.
17. A seller has refused to deal with me, what can I do?
Unfortunately, who the seller deals with is their prerogative. If they have declined you for whatever reason then it is their right to do so. If you wish to plead your case then please contact them direct.
18. What do I need to access the site?
You can use VENDe on any type of computer, using any internet browser that you like. There are one or two areas that require flash player to be installed but if you don’t have this program it will not stop you being able to view and/or order products from any seller.
19. Why can’t I see the wholesale price of some of the suppliers?
Different sites have different access settings depending on their individual wishes. If you cannot view the wholesale price for a particular seller it is because you haven’t yet been granted approval to do so. Go to the individual’s site and ask to be granted access to view their wholesale prices. It can take a few days in some instances until they respond to your request. If you are in a hurry please contact the seller direct.
20. I’m not a retailer, can I still use VENDe?
All sellers will have individual rules regarding their policy on selling direct to the public. You can always try to place an order with the seller, but they may choose to reject your approach or redirect you to a local retailer. Alternatively you can email a special request to the seller you wish to deal with but it is ultimately at their discretion.
